The study outlines the implicit concept of social work and the characteristics of such efforts within an organization of occupational social work. It is based on Systems Theory, Organization Sociology and the „Lebensweltorientierung“. We assume, that the key function of social work also depends on the organizations dedication. Therefore a qualitative single case study design is used. The organization can be viewed as a substitute for the first labor market, with a focus on the powerful interior, “Hier Herinnen”. Inside the organization, the core tenet of professional social work is formed: the observation of the clients’ everday life. Inside the organization, the responsibilities of documentation, confidentiality and the promotion of professional social work is balanced. The study reveals the interplay between social work within an organization, the discipline of social work and the principles of the profession.
