Nachweis

Malonic acid dinitrile (MSDN), 1,1,3,3-tetracyanopropane (TCPH) and isophthalonitrile (IPDN) were used for the electrochemical synthesis of copper-organic compounds. The addition tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate to the solvent acetonitrile increased the conductivity. Cyclovoltammetric investigations at a stationary copper and platinium electrode were carried out in order to determine the reduction behaviour of the nitriles. The electrochemical synthesis with MSDN gave the binuclear CN-bridged copper compound {[Cu2(µ-CN)(CH3CN)3]CH(CN)2}n. The electrochemical reaction in the presence of triphenylphosphane resulted in {[Cu2(µ-CN)(PPh3)3]CH(CN)2}n. The product of the electrochemical synthesis with TCPH was the cuprate {(n-C4H9)4N[Cu(TCP)BF4]}n. The compound [(CH3CN)CuTCP]n could be obtained without the conductivity electrolyte (n-C4H9)4NBF4. A copper compound with the composition (Ph3P)3CuC6H4(CN)2 was received by the electrochemical conversion of IPDN in the presence of triphenylphosphane. The electrochemical preparation of the copper compound without the triphenylphosphane ligands was not successful.
