This interview provides information on the normative ambivalence of the civil society sector. On the one hand, NGOs fulfil important economic and political functions. They provide goods and services. And they are involved in public advocacy. On the other hand, they sometimes contribute to discourse failure. And occasionally there are even abuses such as donation scandals or mistreatment of employees or clients. From an ordonomic perspective, it is important to strengthen the self-correcting powers ofthe NGO sector.
